As a photographer, there’s nothing quite like capturing the fleeting moments of a newborn’s first few days of life. It’s a truly magical experience to witness the love and joy a family has for their newest addition. I had the honor of getting to know the wonderful family of Sara and Ryan about 10 years ago when I photographed their wedding, and it’s been a privilege to watch their family grow over the years with births of their two other children and now, their newest little boy, Owen.
When Owen arrived earlier than expected and needed to spend some extra time in the hospital, it was understandable that his photography session had to be pushed back. But when the doctor gave the okay for the session, I was thrilled to finally meet him and see his family again. Owen was the perfect newborn model. His pictures turned out beautifully, and it’s an honor to have captured all three of Sara and Ryan’s children as newborns.
Being a part of such special moments in a family’s life is what makes photography so rewarding. And to Sara and Ryan, thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your journey.
